LIBBY CASCADEN is a native of Mobile, AL.  She is self-taught as a painter and works primarily with acrylics and bold colors.  She takes her inspiration for her floral and sea-life paintings from her experiences growing up near Mobile Bay (also known as the Bay of Holy Spirit) and the Gulf of Mexico.  She also enjoys photography and is currently working on her first coffee-table style book about the Mobile Gulf Coast area.  She was diagnosed with Chronic Mylogenous Leukemia (CML) in 2004.  A portion of the proceeds from her work are donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
